That emotion that you just SAW represents a lot about what sports is all about, Pay very close attention to this Reason. It touches my heart in SO MANY WAYS.

WORDS, the power they have over the human experience is crucial. The words we use, CREATE a reality for us, and give direction to lost souls.  Gym44 has taken the word TRY-OUT, and platformed it, and it now has taken on a life of its own.

We had TRY-OUTS, pretty much every Monday.  After we played the game on Saturday, we'd come back Monday, and have a ..............TRY-OUT."

 Coach Pat Summit States.

"I was driving across the Tennessee campus on a fall day in 1974, heading over to my new office, when I spotted a couple young women bouncing a basketball on the sidewalk. I recognized them as two of Tennessee's returning players, Diane Brady and Sue Thomas, and they had just finished a pickup game with some guys.  I pulled over in my light Cutlass with vinyl top and rolled down my window. "

"What are you girls doing??"

 "We just beatin' these boys in basketball"

" I liked the sound of that, Well do you know who I am??"

"You must be Pat Head" Diane Said

" I am............. TRY-OUTS will be in two weeks"
